Launched in March 2008, Get Konnected is the brainchild of PR and multicultural marketing pioneer, Colette Phillips, President and CEO of Colette Phillips Communications, Inc. and creator of Kaleidoscope, the city’s first comprehensive multicultural resource guide. Get Konnected is the first and only monthly professional and social multicultural networking event for professionals of all cultures in Greater Boston. This first-of-its-kind event provides Greater Boston’s corporate community a venue where its employees of color can network and interface with other professionals.
The Boston Globe calls Get Konnected “an ethnic rainbow of Boston’s business community.” Adding, “These kinds of events … serve as an instant friendly corporate pass to make business contact.” In 2011 Get Konnected! was voted Best Multicultural Event in Boston by El Planeta Newspaper and honored by the Massachusetts State Legislature and Boston Latino TV in 2012 for “arduous work, dedication and success in providing consistent networking opportunities for professional of color throughout New England”
